How We Did It
RM+D, in partnership with Spectrum Health, developed a community engagement concept to celebrate Betty Ford’s contribution to breast cancer awareness. The result was nearly 2,000 community members standing shoulder to shoulder on the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum lawn, raising umbrellas and forming a symbolic pink ribbon of hope. More than 1.2 million people were reached through social media.
RM+D collaborated with Spectrum Health for five years to plan the annual event in West Michigan for 500-1,500 attendees.
